Default farsight: Hell brigade

well I was thinking a few days ago about using farsight in a tornament, the idea was to use the original nine Elite XV8 slots to have suits with anti-hoard/light vehicle, possibly TL flamers and lots of gun drones. Then the 7 bodyguards would be special anti marine with the second HQ and his bodyguards anti tank. I thought this might be an idea for a way to make a Jack of all trades for tournaments.

Small squads = multi-shot weapons (burst cannons & missile pods)
Large squads = one-shot weapons (plamsa rifles if you want anti-marine)
What can go wrong? Ahem...

Watch out for Vindicators, Orbital Strikes, and fast moving assault units. You never want to lock up all that firepower in an assault, even with the DawnBlade.

But yeah, I did something similar a while back, O'Shovah and the 6 Holy Swords ;] It was nothing sort of murder. Just be sure they don't get locked up and you'll roll all over the Marines.

I always put a ABF and CIB in the mix, You don't roll over marines, you roll over EVERYTHING

I used an AFB against marines once, it won me the game. Let's just say the template covered 6 models and one survived. And my bro only had 18 models in this game or something. Woop!

Sorry, back on topic... ummm............... yeah. Farsight counts as the 1+ commander.

AFB and CIB, dude....... that's just wrong and too many points, its like over a hundread for the commander and the weapons, you might as well get shadowsun or farsight.... or aun va.... but no one gets aun va.

And, They have ALWAYS made back their points, even if its killing Genestealers in CC, (yes they do that too)

Well, the idea sounds pretty solid, but its just on paper. Take it out to a friendly and play test it and see how that goes before you lock that list in for the tournament. I'd also like to know the results of that because that would be a pretty sweet idea if i do get a farsight as long as i don't mix up the teams haha, or get stuck and destroyed in CC.
