Default Sky Ray

Sky Ray, I honestly think you are better off taking a Ionhead than a Skyray, you get 3 shots per turn at better stats, versus 6 per game and 2 markerlights, I was just trying to figure out how to make it a little more worth taking for friendly games, I was thinking as Optional Rules

+15 pts can be used and deployed as the Pathfinder Devilfish; Capacity, 8 Pathfinders and 2 Drones (Note: Still takes a Heavy Slot as well)

Either
+25 pts Can Reload D6 missiles instead of firing
or
+25 pts Reload D2 and still fire (1,2,3 = 1 4,5,6 = 2)

and does anyone know when search is going to be back online?

simply allow pathfinders, and possibly fire warriors to buy one instead of a devilfish. points and that remain the same.

it makes a lot of sense, and fits the fluff perfectly with pathfinders.

Would they still take up a heavy slot though? or do you think that they shouldn't?

no, it would work like the pathfinders' devilfish. its non scoring and does not take up a HS slot.

but if you want, let it be so only the pathfinder squad it is bought for be able to use its seeker missiles/.

Deadnights right, doing that would:
A]Beef up your PF's!
and
B]Leave space for an Ionhead!

IF someone would explain to me what the hell is inside a skyray hull I could except them as a heavy choice. Its a friggin missile rack with two markerlights that fit on a standard rifle. What the hell is in the infantry compartment? Two guys with tv screens? Doesn't that seem a little wasteful?!

yea no shit, thats what I was thinking which is where the being able to be a transport for PFs or the Reloading choice came from. But my opponents might think having 6 tanks a bit unfair, so i guess do you guys think this is a little over the top or what?

Not at all! Many armies can take (at least) 6 tanks. The transporting 8 models and making it a dedicated transport soundslike a good idea to me (though maybe lowering it to a devilfish chassis would be necessary).

Space Marines can take up to 5 landraiders if they so choose in a standard force orginazation. I think THAT'S a little ridiculous.

I just built a 2250 point army with 5 landraiders in it. I would TOTALLY field this army if I played Space Marines. Basically it was like this...

HQ
Space Marine Captain w/ terminator armor Stromshield, Thunderhammer and Melta-bombs

Elite
5 Assault Terminators w/ Stormshield and thunderhammer
Landraider Redeemer w/ Extra Armor and Multi-melta

5 Terminators W/ Assault Cannon
Landraider Redeemer w/ Extra Armor and Multi-melta

Troops

5 man tac squad

5 man tac squad

5 man tac squad

Heavy Support

Landraider Redeemer w/ Extra Armor and Multi-Melta

Landraider w/ Extra Armor and Multi-Melta

Landraider w/ Extra Armor and Multi-Melta

5 Landraiders... perfectly legal... 2250 points. That's not that big of a game when you think about it. If you honestly dont see this coming then how the hell do you stop it?!

In any case, if someone complains that you wanna field 3 skyrays and 3 hammerheads just make them aware that Space Marines can already take 5 landraiders perfectly legally!

I don't have the codex in front of me but I'm fairly certain that only one Terminator squad can take a LandRaider as a dedicated transport. So only 4 LandRaiders. Which is still an insane amount. Unless I'm remembering wrong.
