Default broad side hard point legalitys

if I were to say have a sheild gen and a target lock onmy brod side could I say the target lock was inactive and not use itin one game and use the gen insted. and in another game say the sheild gen was inactiveand use the lock?

Not really no, although i am sure your friends may let you get away with it. Usually wargear goes by WYSISYG (What You See Is What You Get) so many would point out that you have an illegal config due to having four hard points instead of the three. But if you say prior to the game which one shouldn't really be there then you may get away with it, depends really on whether your playing with friends or at GW...

Yeah. GW will probably say, "Oh you can do it, but it'll take a Strength 10 AP 1 hit before the game" or something like that...

lol, to be honest that is just pretty petty behaviour if you have both on the model...Fortunately the wargear can be clicked into place neatly if your lucky, or if not all it requires is a tiny bit of blu-tac to keep those options interchangable. (Magnets are always a possiblity but you need to have some skills and its pointless on something as small and fiddly as hard point options!)
