Frank:

How do you mean? Do you mean, using your infiltrators, to counter an opposing enemy's infiltrators?
If that's the case, it depends on who deploys their infiltrators first.

For example, if you deployed yours first, you may think to put them close to the enemy, however you could also keep them close to home, near your main army, which will prevent other infiltrators from setting up too closely since they must remain 18 inches generally away from your units.

Should he infiltrate first, you could infiltrate right behind him and then his infiltrators are stuck between two of your units. This poses very interesting occurrences, where if you pummel the infiltrators hard enough to force them to fall back by chance, they could be "trapped" and removed (but that's quite rare).

But I'll wait to see what exactly you mean before continuing

It can be pretty hard to trap enemy units in that way, but it is still pretty easy to get a unit close enough to prevent them from regrouping. I love chasing units off the board like that.

You can infiltrate anywhere as long as its 18" away from enemies, he can too. but if you go first, and place your infiltrates in such a way, that it limits his options on where he can infiltrate to, your pretty much counter-infiltrating.

E.g., your playing table quarters (1vs1), can can deploy in opposite quarters, which leaves two quarters free. If you infiltrate say, right in the center of one table quarter, that pretty much restricts your opponent from putting anything in that quarter, or at least, its really far away from the majority of your army..
