I thought it'd be interesting to see what kind of equipment everyone favors.
Here's my first choice for a Shas'O: Iron Man configuration: Plasma Rifle, Cyclic Ion Blaster, Shield Generator, Hard-Wired Multi-tracker, Stimulant Injectors Cost: 145 pts Dedicated purpose: anti-teq, weaponry was selected to take on teq and/or meq units, defensive wargear allows him to generally survive the entire game.

I still like my loadout best
Plasma rifle, missile pod, fusion blaster, HW MT, Cost is about 124 maybe, he's cheap, at 12" he has 3 ap2/1 shots all hitting on twos, at range he has his missile pod and plasma rifle, |

ABF, PR, Shield Gen, HWMT, not cheap but will kill just about anything, especially paired with a BC/MP or a Fireknife and a Cyclic/MP, or 2 fireknives works pretty good too, but really i like rymr better

A fireknife'o with iridium and 2 shield drones, with the posrelay. His job is to attach himself to a full warrior squad, along with my other commander (who's basically the same, but with stims) and go to ground for a few turns while the evil plan gets wurking. Once my army's descended from the heavens, the commanders can detach and go join new bodyguard teams, though the hardening effect on the Troops is not to be underestimated in an objectives game.

My commander is always a Sunfire suit (PR+MP+FB) with HW multitracker, ejection system(if alone) or with drone controller and 2 shield drones.

I've got 2,
One is always being re-done to pick on the weakness of the opposing army. The second is a PR, MP with possional relay. Sometimes with drones, sometimes not.

AFP, I want the template to be on target the best possible. With BS 5, he normally puts the weapon right on target, or an inch away.
Missile pod - with or without his body guards, I like having a salvo of S7 firepower at a good range. Positional Relay - I really do not like the idea of having a deep striker and not being able to deploy him at a critical time. It just really makes me feel frustrated. Prelay allows me to counter that as I need to. HWMT - no brainer, I want to shoot more. HWDC - depends on the points, he flies normally with shield drones. Bonding knife - I KNOW, I don't actually pay the points for it. IMHO a Shas'o would have bonded with a team years ago, so his suit carries one. It's a fluff thing for me.

I really don't use the shas'o all that often but I'm thinkinh of starting. As many times as I roll 2's it might be nice to have someone who hits on 2.
in any case, my commander types are usually either fire knife or helios. I like fire knife because it's the most versatile battlesuit. I also like helios because playing against a store full of marine players then all those fusion and plasma shots will take down marines, terminators and obliterators with relative ease.
