Hi everybody
Been looking around on the forum without finding any threads which suit my inquiry (think its spelled like this). The new rules indicates that a jetpacker is relentless, and may so fire a heavy weapon after moving. A nice thing for marker drones and sniper drones (though the spotter may not fire if he moves /)BUT The 5'th FAQ from GW states in the very last Q and A that a model without a Stab. System may not move and fire a Heavy weapon. Which rule is the correct one??? Car'Lel |

They are both correct. Drones do not count as having Jetpacks unless the model with the controller has a jetpack. This means that Drones with Crisis Suits or Stealth Teams are Relentless, but Drones attached to Broadsides and Sniper Drones are not. The clarification is there to explain that taking a Stabilization System on a Broadside will not effect the drone.
The only non-vehicle models in the Tau list that can fire Heavy Weapons and move at present are Marker Drones attached to Stealth or Crisis Suits. |

Nope. It's the same unit type as whoever it's attached to.

Well it depend which drone you are talking about.
As stated: Wargear drone (gun, shield, marker, sniper) that the same unit type as their controller. Whereas: Independent gundrone (fast attack choise) are jetpack infantry.
