Default New Skyrays

Over at http://forums.tauonline.org/index.php?topic=74341.60, we've been talking about IA3 HH turrets and new Skyrays. Quite a few people there (myself included), have said that we would like GW to change the rules of the Skyray. I've organised this petition to make GW realise that Skyrays are currently overpriced and worthless, and need a change. After a few weeks, when the vote looks as though it has been decided, we should all email GW about this thread and get them to see how many of us would like a change.

Happy voting,

Don't make it a transport, but give it limitless missiles and the ability to launch six all at once.

edit~Heh, heh, whoops. :P Should not be able to fire infinite missiles at once.

No offense, but internet petitions have been shown to have next to no impact to companies. Much less one as hard headed as GW can be at times.

Anyways, you can't fire them all (infinity is a lot). Even were it a blank infinite result, no limitation on firings would practically be begging for people to abuse full teams of Pathfinders.

So in closing, I vote for infinite missiles. No Alpha strike and limited to six a turn.
Oh yes, the 10 pt price drop required to make our vehicles worth their skimmer nature now as well. Also taking away seeker missile options from the rest of our vehicles. Oh, and no transport capacity.

I think that's more than fair and quite balanced.

Unfortunatly can't do multiple votes... But i'd say either Additional/Unlimited Seekers or a Transport for Pathfinders. Both in my eyes are viable... Additional Missles make it worthy of a Heavy slot, But leaving as is would be good for a Pathfinder Transport... But only for Pathfinders... If it is a Transport and has additional Seekers (not unlimited tho) give it a 0-1 limit.

If there is Additional Missiles then can only fire 6 a turn and if it Alpha Strikes then it has to spend the next turn reloading (can't fire off seekers)

I made a mistake... :P

I wanted to vote for the last option. Can you change the poll to let us undo our votes?

I voted for transport and bladestorm-esque shooting. The skyray is an augment to the pathfinders in my opinion.

I think that they should make it a transport for Pathfinders and that they should reduce it's carriage capacity to 8. They should also reduce it's armor to Devilfish armor as well. They should then reduce the points by 20. I think this would make the Skyray as a reasonable option.

But what of missile changes?

Or do you mean transport capacity + a 20 pt drop would make them worthwhile?
I don't believe it would be any more effective if that's what you mean...

Yeah, I think it would make it more worthwhile for a couple of reasons. If they took the skyray out of the heavy support slot and put it in as a transport option for Pathinders that means that you could still have all of your heavy support slots open and at the same time you'd still be able to field as many skyrays as you have pathfinder teams. So imagine having 3 hammerheads and 3 skyrays on the table at the same time. That'd be pretty scary to go up against. Basically the Skyray then becomes a warfish with Markerlights on it a bunch of extra seeker missiles. And I've always considered the markerlights to be much more worthwhile than the seeker missiles on the sky ray as it is. So if they give it a fairly steep points decrease and give it a transport capability then that would even things out. Just my opinion.
