Default My Shas'O

I'm wondering if this would be a good anti marine sorta unit.

Shas'O
1.plasma rifle
2.cyclic ion blaster
3.multi tracker
Iridium armor
135 pts

I'm gonna be playing lots of sm/chaos so would this be any good?

Iridium is iffier than ever. Maintaining a 12" on-their turn radius is harder in 5th ed.

My prognosis? It'll kill some things before being killed. Not being able to move is a liability.

I run a similar set up on my Shas'o. It works very well. The only thing is that I use it for tank hunting, by dropping it behind a tank and blasting it's side or rear armour. It's set up ah-like-so...
Shas'o: Fusion blaster, Missile pod, Shield generator, Hard-wired Multi-tracker, Iridium armour, Stimulant injectors, Hard-wired Drone controller and 2 Shield drones. Runs 184 pts, but has a tendency to earn those points back and then some pretty quickly.

As far as your set up, it has a high kill rate against Teq and Meq (Assuming you get 6s for the Cyclic ion blaster). Though, as I did, you may want to take the Multi-tracker as a Hard-wired option and take a Shield generator for survivability.

Nothin' wrong with that Shas'o. Sounds pretty sturdy. Might wanna throw him some shield drones. They would get a 2+ armor save as well and make him that much tougher to kill.

What I would do is add a shield generator, 1-2 shield drones, and stims. Looks a lot like my comander, M'Yen'Nars'O, a config I have used with much success. If you have the points to spare, consider adding some Burning Eye (TL-Plasma) suits as bodyguards with shield generators and you will have a very hard to kill and TEQ massacring unit.

I give my Shas'o a fusion blaster, cyclic ion blaster, shield generator, iridium armor, hardwired multi tracker, a hardwired target lock, and a bodyguard and deepstrike him in the back of their line where they keep all of the artillery. It works pretty well.

As awesome as that crisis suit is, why put on weapons that don't work with each other at all? Missle Pod = Range 36, Fusion Blaster = Range 12.

Switch one or the other weapons with a plasma rifle and it'll work better.

right, a Plasma Rifle which also has an effective range of 12".

Untrue, it's range of maximum effect is 12", but it's still effective at 24". That means you can jump in and out of bolter/storm bolter/multimelta range via jsj while still getting something for your efforts. And when paired with the fusion blaster, it's a hugely more effective MEQ/TEQ killer.

Frankly, if you claim that your crisis suit is an MEQ/TEQ killer and it doesn't have a plasma rifle, you need to rethink your entire outlook on building crisis suit configs...

Thanks guys I appreciate the help. The reason he does not have all that other stuff is cause when I made my army list i went overboard points wise.(I even gave my hammerhead an ion cannon instead of a railgun "Gasp") My army list probably stinks though.
