Default Shas'O Rymr

Okay I did some Number Crunching with the experimental rule PDF i found (http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/pdf/rmyr2.pdf) and i think he is totaly worth fielding but i dont want to pay about 30$ for him AND have to buy a book which i dont know how much it costs but guessing no less than 30 but probly around 50$, and buying it just to field him so what do you guys think should i buy him and the book even if i can only use him in some games? or what do you guys think buy him and use the experimental rule pdf or what

That is not experimental rules. That is the 5th Edition update for Sha'O R'myr. It is not experimental in the slightest; it is an update for his rules as found in Imperial Armour Three: The Taros Campaign. Therefore, you do NOT need to purchase anything else, other than the model as all of his rules are contained either in that .pdf file or Codex: Tau Empire.

However I, as do many other Tau players, consider Imperial Armour Three: The Taros Campaign an essential purchase for any Tau player and I do recommend you purchase it at some point in time.

Err, are you talking US dollars? Because the book is over $100, and the R'myr model is at least $50, not counting shipping.

To clarify: IA: III is 55 pounds, R'myr is 20 pounds. So that is roughly $40 for R'myr alone, and $110 for IA: III (plus shipping).

I would recomend any Imperial Armour book, especially the one pretaining to your army. They really are worth it (IMO) for the new rules, army lists, and fluff you get from them. And I also recomend Forge World's battlesuits. They are far superior to GW's plastic ones (if they are a bit expensive). So even if you don't get the book, the battlesuits are still great to use with the codex.

Rymr comes out to 35.5162 USD, the book i didnt auctually do a conversion for i just guessed it was going to be expensive and i figured it wouldnt matter if the rules i found would work so i just guessed at what it would cost

Yeah, I guess I was a bit off. I always thought he was a little more expensive but he's not much worse than the others.
