Default Shas'ui, markerlights, and hardware

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

1. They have removed the old 1 item of hardware for the upgrade, so an upgraded FW can now have a (HW) MultiTracker, Target Lock, and Drone Controller.

2. Should a Shas'ui firing a carbine and markerlight at a unit, which both hit, and causes an unsaved wound, he can use his own markerlight to reduce LD by one. (Its not listed as prohibited!)

Or I may be very late in noticing it.....

No, All weapons in a squad are assumed to fire at the same time. So, the carbine bullet would hit at the same time as markerlight.
Now, the logic behind removing a coversave is an enemy seeing the Valkries Mark, (also known as a red dot on forehead while fighting tau) then taking heavy fire. They are now scared and more likely to go to ground. Doesn't work when the Valkries mark hits at the same time as the bullet.
However, networked markerlights are fired before the squad they're in, so they're markerlight hits can affect their own squads shooting.

Agreed, but, if you look at the list of things you can and cannot use a non networked markerlight for, it does not say that you can't use it to reduce leadership. Only that you can't use it to influence to hit or reduce cover.

"markerlights may be expended by subsequently firing Tau"

So assuming all shots are made together you cannot use them to do anything for the firin unit.

Beside it is stated that the unit that fires the markerlight cannot use it. so the Shas'ui ui couldn't use it for anything...only another team can use it.

The only exception to this rule is the networked markerlight, which is ound on marker drone, sky ray and sniper drone spotter.
