Default arc of sight and devilfish

i was looking at my devilfish turret today, and it spins more in one direction than the other by about 5ish degrees, it wont have a major effect in game, but i wonder if it should be counted how it normally spins or not. the rulebook only has pics of imperial vehicles (that i can find)

The arcs in the rulebook are still useful. A Devilfish's burst cannon is Hull Mounted, which means it has a 45º fire arc to the front of the vehicle.

Don't have the rulebook on me, so if someone could clarify whether hull mounted is 45º or 90º that would be great. ;)

EDIT: Thanks TimJim.

45 now -_-

Used to be 90, but that proved too wide for things like basilisks

Dang...and I was hoping 180.

Well since we are on the topic what about GunDrones/SMS/Tank 'side-mounted' burst cannon? Are we taking 45, 90 or 180?

I'm at work and don't have my codex handy.

The Codex says that the 'fish is equiped with a burst cannon. It does NOT specify where it is, so you can technically have your 180 arch.

Gun Drones can fire wherever they can see, as they're passengers, not a weapon system.
SMS ignores LoS, so its fire arc doesn't matter.
Side mounted Burst Cannons would fire like 180+º sponson weapons. (RAI, same reason why 'fish BC is hull mounted)
All hammerhead primary weapons are Turret mounted (360º Arc), as are Sky Ray markerlights.

For completeness
Piranha main weapon is hull mounted.
Tetra pulse rifles are hull mounted, markerlight is turret mounted.
Sentry drones' weapons are turret mounted. (be kinda useless if they weren't)
Remora weapons are hull mounted.

Remember, the Rulebook explicitely states that these are GUIDELINES, and that even turret-mounted weapons could have less than 360° if the model doesn`t permit it. Another example - just look at the sponsion-mount pictures.

The REAL LOS deviates from these guidelines - it has to be determined from the models itself. The guidelines are just that - guidelines!

(At least imo... ^^)

Cheers,
-Bone
