Default Orca Dropship?

While looking through the forgeworld site I saw the Orca Dropship. my questions are 1. is this an apocolypse item or is it only a model used in EPIC 2. if it is a apocolypse, is it a transport 3. if so, how many troops does it transport 4. are the troops that come with it useable. also, can you use the manta in apocolyse or is it EPIC (if so, same questions aplly). what tau forgeworld items do you recommend (i really want to try-out the turrets especially).

There are both Epic and 40k versions of both. They aren't limited to apocalypse, but they mostly only appear there. The troops are not usable in games, so you need ground forces too.

Not technically anymore...But it's nice to inform your opponent of things like Forge world models and rules.

Trust me, save the hassle and just let them know if you use something from FW. You'll keep friends that way.

They are both Forge World, yes. It's probably a good idea to ask your opponent before using them. Personally, I don't think it's worth getting either unless you're uber-dedicated to playing Tau. It's too expensive and not really that great in and of itself.

Mainly the fact that it is a Flyer. And Flyer/Titan still requires the permission because they are pretty tough...so you want to give your opponent a chance to prepare his list to face flyers.

That and common courtesy

I use all the FW items in Apoc games, and sometimes in regular games. The Manta is simply awesome to see over the field and really powerful. The orca is not bad, but I think have a lack of weapons and is overpriced. the turrets are great to defend your board side objectives, especially if you use the Drone Perimeter defence team datasheet (It is in IA: A). And the flyers are great too, especially the Tiger Shark for Apoc games.

For regular games most of it is to expensive in point to be useful. I usually use turrets, hammer turrets (especially the fusion blaster canon) and, sometimes, the barracuda.

For Apoc games you don't need inform your opponent but it is not very fun that your enemy don't have reply against things like the manta or TS.
