Default rule clarifications on broadsides and crisis suits firing all weapons.

lets say a broadside or crisis suit has a multi-tracker. what are the rules for its shooting? is it "fire all weapons if not moving, one weapon at up to 6"" or "all weapons no matter what" or something else intirely. also what is A.S.S?

It depends, you are lumping apple and oranges.

A multi tracker allow you to fire 2 seperate weapons:

In the case of a crisis suit; he can move/jump, shoot 1 or 2 weapon, then assault/jump again.

In the case of the Broadside it depends:
- if he does not have Advanced stabilisation system, he can only shoot both weapon if he remains stationary (since the rail gun is a Heavy weapon) but he could assault.
- if he has Advanced stabilisation system he could move d6", shoot 1 or both weapon, and the assault.

Edit:
Mmm I think JB nailed it. I actually never concidered he could be confusing the Infantry multi-tracker and the vehicule multi-tracker (which have completely different mechanics). Thankfully KP cleared this up.

You might also be confusing it with the vehicle multi-tracker which is something else completely.

I think that's the problem, JB. Goldfish, your question suggests that you're trying to use broadsides under vehicle rules, as if it's a walker. While it does walk, it is not considered a Walker Vehicle, it is Infantry, like a fire warrior. Infantry firing is based on the type of weapon they're firing. Rapid fire weapons can be fired twice at up to 12 inches, or once at maximum range if the unit didn't move. Tau battlesuits can always fire rapid-fire weaponry as if they didn't move, so you can move and fire at long range. Heavy weapons, like most of the broadside's toys, can only be fired if the suit didn't move. A.S.S. is the Advanced Stabilization System, which lets a suit move a bit and still fire, but it costs 10 points and a support system slot (broadsides get 1 support system). Now to actually answer your question: normally, infantry can only fire one weapon a turn, but a tau battlesuit with a multi-tracker (another of the available upgrades) can fire two. Note that a twin-linked weapon system, like a pair of missile pods, counts as a single weapon.

does this mean that a broadside with A.S.S could move and still fire his railgun?

I highly the part in my original replay that answer that specific question.

No problem. That's why Adavanced stabilisation system is really a Broadside only upgrade, otherwise it his no point on a regular crisis suit...but on a broaside it allow you to use your fully firepower and give you some mobility.
