Default Questions about tau rules

I have read these things some where but when I am asked to prove it , I'm completely blank
so what I ask for is where I can find the following facts in a book ,or official FAQ

1.mobile marker lights , stealths being able to shoot marker lights and move

2.not needing permission for non-titian/air craft forgeworld units

3.markerlights in firewarrior squads : can the commander shoot his weapon plus his laser pointer in one turn if he has a multi tracker ?

With the 5th edition rules, jet packs grant relentless, meaning you can move and fire heavy weapons.

Nope, sorry, you always technically need permission. However, most FW stuff isn't game breaking due to the way its rules are written.

To fire his pulse rifle and markerlight in the same turn, the Shas'Ui will need to take a hard-wired multi-tracker. If he wants to shoot the light at a different target to his men (like a tank for a seeker strike) then he needs a hard-wired target lock.

Note a marker hit on a shas'ui cannot be used to benefit his own unit, as it is not networked.

EDIT By RZ: Fixed your quotes.

In Tournement they will usually say if FW is allowed. At your local game shop it's always good to check before hand (so bring 2 lists)

Amoungst friend too...at least the first time. If everyone agrees that FW is allowed, then it should still be true the next time you play.

Actually, although courtesy is nice, the way that IA:Apoc is worded says you can take certain FW pieces without the opponents consent. Off-hand I think they restricted only Super Heavies and Gargantuan creatures. :P

That might be true for Apocalypse game, but does it also apply to regular games?

Yes, though I think it's a little cheesy (and may be slightly more restricitve to flyers, I'll check later).

This topic is what originally made me check.

It has quotes and evidence, though again It's just common courtesy to let yur opponent know what you plan (if he is actually playing the game for fun he should welcome a change of pace like FW allows).

EDIT- Forgot the link. :P

Rule 1 - if it applies to Apoc games, it doesn't apply to proper games :P

Most of the stuff is less opponents consent, and more just to let them know - giving them the courtesy of telling them you are bringing air support, they can then form a defence. Other things, like alternate turrets, usually don't make a squats whisker of difference.

That rule is a bit flawed though. I do agree for the most part that Apoc should stay with Apoc... But that's not how it reads RAW or RAI (since I can't for the life of me see them making a mistake like that when it would have been easier/less ink to say "In the past, to avoid 'rabbits out of hats' we have suggested that players ask consent when using super-heavy vehicles and aircraft." Vs. "...Forge World models."

Yeah it's pretty clear-cut...but as mention it's still basic courtesy...so in short my knarlocs, XV-84 and gundrones are all legal ;D

But for tournement it's still better to check because, IIRC, not all of them accept FW models.
