Default Help a Newb: FW sprue

Hey, sorry if this has been answered a dozen times or if this is the wrong forum.

So page 28 of the Codex states that all equipment other than HW wargear must be represented on the model. In the chart on that page, it is shown that the Blacksun filter, drone controller, multitracker, and target lock are all hardwired, leaving the bonding knife and emp grenade to be represented on the model. Page 36 (Fire Warrior entry) lists further upgrades: Shas'ui, photon grenades, and markerlight.
The bonding knife is pretty obvious, and the cylinders i've marked as 'C' are clearly grenades of some sort, but which are they?
I'd guess that 'A' is also some sort of grenade, but would every model toting this grenade require this specific arm (as per WYSIWYG)? As a further clarification, is it possible to have some models in a Fire Warrior Team equipped with grenades and others not?
Finally, can I then assume that 'B' represents the markerlight available to the upgraded Shas'ui?

Thank you.

A's a type of grenade, as is C, B is just some sort of Auspex like the marines have it has no real effect on the game, but it can be a target lock etc

Grenades are exempt from WYSIWYG. They include them on the sprue so you can use them if you want them. Ditto for the arm holding the grenade. It's for variety in modeling. Grenades are issued/purchased by unit. All members of the squad have them. If would be helpful to both you and your opponent if you used the grenade bits to differentiate between squads if one had emp grenades and the other had photon grenades, but it's not required.

The arm with the sensor is used to show other wargear like drone controllers. This is important for gameplay as that wargear is tied to that model.

I thought A was a markerlight, B is a drone controller, and C is grenades of both sort. All other wargear is integrated into the suit

I use A to spice up my models a little bit with snappy action poses. I use B to represent Markerlight/drone controller/target lock and of course C as a grenade, there are 2 per model piece so you could simply use them as both Photon and EMP...

A and C are grenades. B is usually used as drone controller.

Markerlight is a long thin piece of wargear found beneath the XV-15 shas'vre gun or on top of the pathfinder pulse carbine.

Can we use B as a Drone Controller?

One of my biggest pet peeves about GW is they give you all these options for squads, but don't include the pieces to represent them on the models. Although they have gotten a lot better with this in the past 10 years (my first 40k models, Space Marine Tactical Squad, back in 1998, while had the cool new plastic models that could actually be posed, didn't include a Melta or Plasma gun or any heavy weapons besides the Missile Launcher).

Unless B is supposed to be a markerlight...

Yes B is used as drone controller

Tau markerlight doesn,t look like B. look up you pathfinder and your XV-15 Shas'vre, you will notine a little long thing on or below the barrel, that,s the markerlight...very similar to the one on a skyray.

The Markerlight issued to Fire warriors could be different design, the markerlight on the marker drone dosn't look long and thin, its a big box thing, and please don't say it looks like that because its networked, the Skyray markers are networked aswell.
