Default Forgeworld Tau Aircraft

Yes, I will be living up to the name "rider_eragon". I will be asking many questions (and hopefully answering some where I can too!! ;D). But this is the new question of the day:

Can Tau Barracudas and Tiger Sharks be used in ordinary games, or Apocalypse only? (I mean, the Great Knarlocks and Knarlock Riders get to be used in normal games...)

So, ;D to you all, and hope I don't get annoying! ;D ;D

Yes. They can be used in regular games and in Apoc.

Can they? The Baracuda I could see being used in a regular game because it's really not that powerfull all in all. However, the Tiger shark is an absolute beast... Just figured I'd ask.

The caveat with using them in regular games is that you have to use the rules from Imperial Armour 3: Taros Campaign, rather than the apocalypse rules, as anything in an apocalypse tends to be underpriced and overpowered.

I have IA3 and IAA, and the changes aren't all that drastic, mostly the lack of upgradeability in Apoc.

The other thing is it is considered bad form to "spring" a Flyer on your opponent; they should be given plenty of warning so they can bring their own Flyer and/or anti-aircraft to counter it. It is not impossible to shoot down a Flyer without AA, but it's bloody hard work!

Generally fliers tend to be too points heavy to use in regular games anyways. So you will most likely find them exclusively in Apocalypse games.

Dunno where you're getting that from. I've fielded a Thunderbolt in 1,500 easily before now. I've used a Marauder Destroyer in 3,000. I've used both in 3,000, in fact.

Lol. But when you're fighting 4 Carnifexes, that's also bloody hard work!

Okay, I apologize. Where I play people tend to only bring that stuff in Apoc games. On the other hand, we have Apocalypse games fairly frequently as well.
