Does the markerlight require any iten to be held in hand? That and the item that helps the suits shoot missles even though they cannot see the enemy.

Thanks again... after this I'll try to compile a list of further questions I have, but this is the only one I have at the moment.

Markerlights are generally small sights mounted on the weapon (pulse carbine or pulse rifle, your choice on a Shas'ui of a Fire Warrior team)

You don't have to model anything extra. However, if you take inspiration from Pathfinders and Shas'vre of Stealthsuits, you'll notice they have tubes and wires plugging into their helmet for the eye piece augmentation.

Well, the markerlight is basically a laser-pointer that the guy carries either by hand, or attached to his weapon. You can either model it with putty yourself, you get a pathfinder model which already has one (stealth team leader also has one).
The other thing you said, I think it's the seeker missile? Or are you asking about the Markerlight again, but just didn't realise it?
Anyways, the seekers are just missiles attached somewhere on the hull of your vehicle, or ports that shoot those missiles. As long as it's obvious, you're ok.
And also, welcome again!

(Damn. Couldn't be first reply. Oh well ^_^)

ML are required to be modelled yes, a small block of plastic with two or one hole drilled in on top of the firle or underslung does fine.

although ML in squads are generally a bad Idea.

if you have any small non-groundbreaking questions I'm on MSN and I'm sure Mal wouldnt mind giving you some of his time either if I'm not on.

If you are no good at modelling, you can claim that the Markerlight is inside the Tau's Helmet, that way, you dont have to do any modelling. Except, you will have to paint the Tau's helmet in a differant way, or something to show that he has a Markerlight, so that in case of a "Saturation" attack, he knows which model has the ML.

I slice the grenade launcher off a carbine, and glue it to the bottom of a pulse rifle. Little bit of modelling, and its a perfectly functional markerlight

an excellent idea.... except that the markerlight goes on the top of the rifle, not the bottom.
Anyone will get what it is, so it isn't that much of a problem.

Actually, the location of the markerlight is dependant on the weapon its on. For carbines, it's above, where a scope would be, but for the burst cannon on Stealth Suits, it's slung underneath (look athe little cylinder with wires attached that string to the backpack)
It really can be put anywhere that makes sense.

indeed i find it odd how on a stealthsuit the markerlight is at the underside of the cannon...it just looks extremely hard to ever point and look down the scope...
