Friends have been complaining about my Tau. How I can plink them from afar without much fear for revenge. You think the Tau HH has the same hate factor as a wraithlord or other overly powerful troops? How about just our general strategy? Seems to irratate people quite well. ???

Well, Hell-ooo, people! It's not as if that's the whole point of Tau or anything. I mean, you're supposed to hit people with the guns! Buncha morons go around actually shooting them, who knows what could happen!
These people obviously haven't yet realised that the Tau are esially countered by a cc-army. Point out their stupidity and laugh at them. They'll get the message. |

the HH in no way is the equal in cheese of the WL, 2 WL in 1500pts is pushing it where I routinely advocate 2 HH in 1000pts.
dont worry about them, it seems like only so many sour grapes.

I dont personally believe in "Cheese" armies. Each army has a strength (for the Tau, its shooting *shock* *horror*) and each army has its weakness (Close combat with Firewarriors? Hell no!). You have to learn to exploit these weaknesses, while using your armies strengths to do so.
Most people that complain about cheesy armies are lousy tacticians. They bitch and moan about something that keeps beating them, when all they have to do is sit back, work out what went wrong, and learn from your mistake. For example, George Washington got his ass kicked at the start of the War of Independance, but George learnt from his mistakes, and each time he was defeated, he learned something new. Thats what you have to do, learn. Tell these people you play with to learn from their defeats. Personally, i dont think people really hate the HH as much as they do the WL. I mean, in the game i had on Sunday, my two HH where strolling through enemy lines, pratically being ignored.

Point out the fact that our 60+ pt elites can be insta-killed by missle launchers, and have to hide behind trees because thier so puny. And that they let giant chickens do thier fighting for them
. Or howbout the fact that despite all thier technoligical know how thier only power weapon was found on another planet by a commander that went renagade (what are the odds : ), or how about the fact that the closest thing tau have to cc weapons is an ornimental knife which they use on each other .They should eventually get the hint that cc is the way to go, and if not O0. |

I think they're complaining because they can't get in to CC with me. I mow them down before they reach a suitable range. Therefore they are reluctant to advance my way. Well, we play 3-way to 4-way chaos. I expect to get my ass handed to me on a platter. They'll just gang up on me. :P I can't win them all. 3-1 record. I suppose it would 6-1 since I beat 2 other people in the games.

What sort of list are you using? Clearly none of them play IG, or they'd be laughing you into the dirt.

Like I said earlier, there is no such thing as 'cheese' only a players inability to adapt themselves or learn from their mistakes.
Sure, there are armies that are just a lot tougher, better and more efficient than others, and then there are power gamers.. Can we see your list? Tactics aren't so important just as long as we can see the list as I'm betting that your opponents lost a game or 2 and now cry "your so cheesey it's impossible". Or maybe you are indeed a godly gamer with such a huge amount of modesty
