Default The Tau and their future.

Hi guys, well through my time playing warhammer people have always clashed about the tau and their future, so want i wanted to do is get more aticulated ideas as i'm pretty much on the fence atm.

All ideas are welcome and please don't turn this into a who's better between the imperium and tau, thanks.

I think as long as our current pace of technological advancement, expansion, and gathering of allies remains as high as it has been in the past we will flourish.

An absence of any of those spells disaster for us in the future, not all roads will end at the same place, with different possibilities having variable survival lengths.

The amount of Tyranids in existance could be a major factor in this

I don't like the endless swarm/this is just a scouting fleet idea about tyranids anyway. Personally I agree with enderwiggin about the tau been in goods time atm but soon their advance will slow down and they'll face a harder life.

From my point of view, i feel that towards the future of warhammer 40k say the 45Th millenium to Tau, Eldar and the imperium would be fighting an endless battle against the forces of chaos, the orks and endless tyranid hive fleets. The Tau i think will keep on advancing but will eventually reach a point to where there is no further to go technology wise. The same with tyranids and evolution.

The problem with that theory is that while Imperial Guard will ally with the xenos races in order to save their behinds, the Space Marine Chapters won't. They live by their Emperor and would rather see the Empire wiped off the face of the galaxy than ally with the Eldar and/or Tau.

very true, the strict discipline, and "purity" of the Space Marines may be quite a drawback, but some may see a use in allies...

oh, and to add my opinion to this topic... ORKS KILL ALL!

Though, on the other hand, as the Empire's technology continues to deteriorate the forces of the Imperium may decide that survival is more important than simply killing all the xenos. After all, there are races like the Tau and most of the Eldar that are not aggressively attacking the Empire.

As the Tyranids consume more and more world, and the forces of Chaos cast their shroud over the galaxy alliances may well be forced into being forged.

This may very well be the golden age for the Tau right before the Dark Age of Technology, y'know?
