if a devil fish is immobilised after moving 12" will it crash or is it just lmmobilised because of landing gear?

i knew it some kid tryed telling me that they dont crash like the elder tanks do because of landing gear i was like i didnt see that in any codex i knew he didnt know what he was talking about

When in doubt, require that person to produce the rules for Landing Gear from the Chapter Approved 2004 VDR article. If he cannot, then they don't have landing gear and the problem is solved

However - on a more sportsmanship level, just know that Landing Gear only come into effect at the beginning of the movement phase if you choose to "land" or move. After that, having landing gear is meaningless.

so i u land with it u cant move but u dont blow up if immobliled but a DF has to move to get the most out of it

The DF will crash...but never leave home without your Decoy Launchers, for it will save your DF 9% of the time! (Hey, it's better than 0 right?) ^-^

perhaps that roll is taking into account the probability of rolling a five in the first place? im not sure but whatever the statistics its well worth it for 5 pts.
