Default Large Blasts and Stealth Units

Are indirect fire weapons (like IG artillery) able to target stealth teams without a targeting roll, since they don't need to see a target to hit it anyway?

Yes, they are able to.
However, they treat it as firing at night/target out of LoS, and so roll an extra D6 for scatter distance, adding it to the first

Firefly is pretty much made of Awesome, Funny, and Aww. Sometimes simultaneously. We'd better stop before we quote the entire script.

As the Stealth Field Generator basically uses the night fighting rules, I'd use the night fighting rules' description on indirect fire weapons:

So I'd say they still have to roll for distance.

EDIT: Drat, someone posted before me!

Well thats the way we played it, I just wanted to be sure.

He shelled my sniper teams out of existence before they even fired a shot. :'(

Isn't there an exception with barrage weapons? Something about rolling an additional dice when deciding scatter distance or something. I would be more specific but at the moment my friends are taking turns stealing MY codex from one another.(not sure why ???)

IIRC, no LOS means roll scatter, 2D6, and choose the highest, then add a D6 because of the night fight-like effect of the stealth field.

The stealth field adds an extra D6 scatter to any G-range weapons. So basilisks behind trees use 3d6 instead of 2d6, meaning it has the possibility of shifting 18" and hitting some one else's tank.
