Default Flamer & AFP Math Hammer?

Just a quick question, could someone help me figure out the statistics to both the AFP and Flamer, for TEQ, MEQ, GEQ. Well you only need to do one, since they are the same strength and AP.

Thank you in advance.

MEQ, Flamer: .165 per model hit.
MEQ, Twin-linked flamer: .247 per model hit
TEQ, Flamer: .08
TEQ, Twin-linked flamer: .125

As you can see, the flamer has a decent ability to take out MEQs, if twin-linked.

consider a unit /w a Shas'Vre(AFP and Twin-linkedd flamer), A suit with Twin-linked flamer and burst cannon, and a model with Plasma and burst cannon.

Or use a Plasma with the flamer, and drop the third suit for two drones.

Hey, thanks for posting so quickly, I've been wondering how flamers and AFP work with the suits. So i just needed this so i can analyse the weaponry layouts.

Just make sure you have a good chance of taking out your target before you move in to flamer it.

Well actually, if you look at a full unit of 3 guys and a mix of burst cannon and tl-flamers and an AFP, you could whittle down most MEQ squads down to a non threatening level, of course combined with other stuff like pulse fire and you have a squad thats weak enough you can assault with your battlesuits.

Something like a full strength gaunt squad could be a problem though.

Actually, you will have 3 flame templates, one or 2 twin-linked even, and one massive blast template, you could easily cover most of the squad and deal some heavy damages with this team alone. And again sprinkle some other fire in there too, and the opponent will be no more. If you're lucky all you need this team of suits and another squad of firewarriors that are close by and that problem is pretty much solved.

Of course this also depends on the skill of the commander, and this is all hypothetical.

Be warned that since the AFP is a G18" weapon and the flamer template is 8", its possible that you might have the misfortune of rolling a 5-6" scatter with the arrow pointed at your 'Vre and blow yourself up, since you will be inside the large blast.

reminds me of when a warlock squad took out my HH, it blew up and took 2 of the 3 with it.

AFP is absolutely awesome on open-topped vehicles. vulnerable to blasts. lol
