Hi i am new to the Tau online forums. First i would like to say HI.lol and know. i have been playing the tau for one year and i love them.

You guys want to know what commander ion is well i made him up.

He is a battle suit commander With a Cyclic ion blaster (hint: Ion in the name)
and a shield generator + lridium armour = good life expectancy

he is so much fun to play. i mean people get pissed when the pump lead in to this guy and he hardly gets out with a scratch. i just want to know my tau friends thoughts on this thanks

What else if your commander equipped with? From the looks of it you only have 2 hard points filled.

Personally I dislike Iridium Armor because it limits my movement, and I want to ensure that I can get back behind cover with my commander rather than trust in a shield generator to save me from lascannons.

You don't need to double post.
If people want to respond, they'll respond.

Personally, I find defense heavy commander builds just cost too many points.
And you need a third hardpoint option filled on that suit anyway.

What would you replace the armor with?
And the shield gen?

You simply don't take the Iridium Armour.
The shield generator can stay if you really want.
And even with the Iridium Armour the suit still needs to fill its third hardpoint.

I would suggest taking a plasma rifle to supplement the CiB's AP1 ability, so you can safely engage any non-vehicle, non-monstrous creature target at short range. And if you're doing that, keep the shield generator.

1. Spelling, grammar. Please. I don't want to have to smite because you're new, but if this keeps up, I will.
2. No. Infantry, Jump Infantry, Beasts, Bikes, etc can only fire 1 weapon/weapon system per turn. It does not matter what type of weapon it is, they may only fire one. A multi-tracker allows a battlesuit to fire two.
