So now that pinning has become just that little bit more useless since Ork boyz have gained fearless in sufficient numbers, I was again reminded of just how useless the pulse carbine really is.

But surely the most scorned of Tau weaponry can be put to some alternative use for the greater good!

So the question stands..

What do you do with spare pulse carbines?

Convert them into things, or build me some pathfinders.

I had never thought of using pulse rifles to convert Fire Warriors to Path Finders. So simple but really never gave it a thought. Thanks Korill great idea.

Make pistols out of 'em. Even if they're not usable by regular firewarriors, it makes them look more heavily armed.

Trade it to players who wants a pulse carbine on their base. Other than that, nothing much.

Edit: Sorry about that. Corrected.

Sorry, I always typed out the pulse rifle more often than the pulse carbine. Will go and edit it.

the most collest looking thing ive seen involved getting a pathfinders carbine cutting the laser guider of the top and glueing it to the side of a pulse rifle for a fire warrior commander , looked heaps cool when the whole guy was painted,

Why do people scorn the Pulse Carbine so?

If you think you take Carbines for the pinning affect you are greatly mistaken! You take Carbine Squads you can move and attack continuously! I hate the fact that 'new' (and some more experienced) players discount the Pulse Carbine on the misconception pinning is worthless.

I think I might write a full tactica on The Tactical Hunter,
