Default Vehicles & Deepstriking

Two seperate questions:

1) If a Hammerhead/Devilfish is equiped with a MT and SMS ... can they fire both of their weapon systems if they move 12" (BC & SMS/GD or Rail & SMS/BC/GD)?

2) When you Deepstrike anything (GDs, XV8's) do you still get your assault movement? And can that be used to assault a group of enemies nearby or is it just a 'free' 6"?

I don't remember reading these in rulebooks/codex, but I have been known to overlook key points. I just don't want to be as obvious a newb at my next tourney ;D

1) As long as they do not move more than 12", then yes

2) No.

Yes. Multi tracker allow you to shoot as if you were a 'Fast Skimmer'. so you can move 12 inches and still shoot everything...plus you got the Auto glance for having moved your skimmer more then 6".

Ok then, arguabley it would be better to have a MT then DP if you plan on moving your skimmer up to 12" per turn ... correct?

Yes, I would recomend always taking a MT on every vehicle. I have always found it worthwhile.

I don't know if a ruling has been made, but I say that they can't do the assault phase movement after deepstrike since it says "as though assaulting".

Absolutely. Moving your skimmers 12" every turn means EVERY hit will be downgraded to glancing, no matter what.

The disruption pod only makes you obscured at ranges greater than 12" away, which gives you a 50% chance of downgrading a hit to glancing. Its not a bad upgrade to have if you wind up going 2nd in a game against an opponent with ranged tankbusting weapons, but in no way does it replace the Multi-Tracker.

Don't forget the Decoy Launchers, either!
