i am starting a new tau army but i have the following problems:
i dont know what to call them
i dont know what to get first,second,etc
help would be appreciated ;D

You'll have to come up with a name on your own.
The very first thing you should buy is the codex. Read up on the units, and decide which ones you like. But no matter what, to start off with, buy a two squads of fire warriors and 1 crisis suit (to be your leader). These are compulsory in all games. Then decide what to get next.

Get a bunch of Human auxiliaries

(the cadians)

buy some second hand firewarriors....

and then get a battle force

(burn the kroot)

---sanity returns

A battle force will cover everything you need.

They have

firewarriors
your crisis suit commander
kroot
and even some stealth suits
and enough to make a fast attack drone unit.

Everything but the codex. And if you have the money, then getting the Battle force will save you some money by getting it all at once.

well i was alredy thinking of getting 'gaurd as my allies....i wont have enough money for a battleforce...
until i get a job but im not old enough

Hello there,

I started with the Tau Empire Battleforce and a codex

It comes with the following units:

(1) Tau Crisis XV8 Battlesuit
(1) Devilfish APC
(3) Tau XV25 Stealth Suits
(1) Markerlight Drone
(6) Gun Drones
(12) Tau Fire Warriors and
(12) Kroot Carnivores

This gives you a great start with 500 point games. Which if you are new to playing 40k this box set will help best with the learning process. T40k is a very fun and enjoyable game!

Nobody will feel obligated or obliged to help you if you whine, speak in all caps, and type with terrible grammar.

I've already gave you advice, figuring that you didn't necessarily have enough money.

4 Another box of Fire warriors

After those 4 options, you can then "play" in any games since they are required for all games. Read the codex, decide what you want to buy next (tanks, fast attack skimmers, more suits ect ect).

Whatever you do, start off slow. Don't acquire a whole bunch of models you can't possibly paint in a year. I've got over 2000 points of unpainted Tau, and a barracuda. :-\

sorry i did not mean to whine but i am new to this site and have a sort of short fuse(sorry)
