Default Sept colours

I know, I know, this is one of the most common topics, but i wanted to talk about it. ;D

I play with T'au sept, and i love their colors, but i also like the urban colors. (Oooh colors affair! :) I probably want to change to urban colors, but don't want to go through the bother of re-painting all my T'au.

Also, one of the reasons i want to change to urban is because i cant stand desert boards, and don't want the T'au colors to be different to the board. (I know, im picky ^^). Its the same with bases. Ive based them with sand...

This isnt a question, i just generally wanted to discuss it...

You could always make an extension to your army in Urban colours: like a special detachment, maybe lead by a Shas'el.

Take a peek in the back of your tau codex. they have a nice breakdown of sept color ideas. sa'cea which i play is an urbanised sept and there is also the ke'lshan sept that operates aboard ship with an urban feel.

This is a misconception I have noticed that a lot of players have: they think that a Tau uniform is based on the sept. A T'au sept army will only have the desert camo. In reality, according to the Tau Empire Codex "...by far the majority colours are simple camouflage, based upon the environment and climate of the war zone in which the wearer is fighting" (59). My army is from the Vior'la sept, but its color scheme is green armor over brown.

i have mine in a white (white-white) armour but on a grassy bass manly coz i couldn't be stuffed getting that snow stuff from gamesworkshop, so i just say they have moved planet but haven't had time to change there armour.

also i changed my painting style for a bit wen the base cotes came out ( i was like omg its a new paint so it must be better and thus make my painting less crap) so then i had two paint schemes so i just made the greyer guys the team leaders so you could do something like that were the have differnet coloured leaders.
