Must A.s.s. be modeled on a Broadside to make it Tournament legal, or just for fact that any choice made from the Battle Support System upgrades list needs to be modelled ?

If so any good ideas out there on A.s.s. modelling technique's ?

Yes, it does need to be WYSIWYG, GW gave us a small tutorial on how to make them once, let me go dig it up for you.

'Ere we go http://us.games-workshop.com/games/4.../wargear/5.htm that will take you to the page with the A.S.S. on it.

I just use the giant ridiculous Broadside feet as the basis of the A.ss, though other gubbinz like the halves of AN xv8 Burst cannon work well too. Also little servos and gears near the ankles and stuff made from assorted gubbinz from the bitz box. I'll get a pic of my Broadside team up here one of these days.

Aun LeKeth - xShaperx, Thank you for your quick input, and the reference photo's, look pretty cool to boot.

xShaperx When you get the picture still post it as I can do a little more detail work to enhance the lower leg area.

Again Thanks a bunch

Hmm, officially yes..
But if anyone is that picky to get you chucked out of a tournament for not having a piston each foot..
I used the bottom bit of a crisis suit flamer :P

I've never played in a tournament, but requiring conversions doesn't make sense to me. Is WYSIWYG really stretched beyond sense? What's the point of making a conversion for the wargear if nobody but you is going to be able to tell by looking what it is? For most conversions, your opponent is going to have to point to the bits and say "what's that thing?", so why not just have him ask "does that suit have stabilizers?"? The first option means a lot more work and doesn't simplify anything, so why is it required?

yes, I know I put two question marks next to each other, which is not proper English grammar. That was not a typo, it's English written more like a programming language: where the grammar rules are actually consistent.

I use XV88-2's. The repositioning of the arms if enough to justify it as the a.s.s if I need and the special helmet is whatever else I need it to be. Done.

My subtle diagram disagrees with you.
your "subtle" diagram contains Optimus Prime and Proffessor Farnsworth, it's heresy in it's own right!
Any similarities between your reality and mine are purely coincidental...
