Default Tau 'Gaming' Terminology

I'm fairly new to the Tau and 40K in general ... and would love some clarification, because that will make things easier to understand.

While reading the forums, I've noticed posts that include terms like 'Ionhead' and 'Warfish' ... for a newbie player such as myself, this is confusing. So I was hoping someone would be kind enough to reply with a list of general terms used to describe various units on the Tau Online Forums. [ FYI - I've figured out what Ionhead aand Railhead mean ... but thats it :'( ]

Much Appriciated~!

Welcome to the forums!

As Tak said, a Warfish is a Devilfish with SMS, though it's quite worth noting that many people kit out their Warfish pretty much standard with most/all of the following:
1) SMS (obvious reasons.)
2) Targetting Array (you've got 7 shots. For such a low price, who wouldn't want to get this upgrade?)
3) Multi Tracker (got to keep firing on the move!), and Decoy Launchers (great for survivability).

It come out at around 130 points, but it's quite worth them in most cases that you would be taking it. The Warfish configuration effectively transforms the Devilfish from a simple troop transport into a highly useful light gunship that can pop off a few shots without even needing line of sight.

Ok so far so good ... now a few that confuse me even more are:

Fireknife
Darkside (or something to that effective)

I'm totally lost on those.

Fireknife is a suit configuration consisting of a plasma rifle and a missile pod.

Darkside is totally new to me, but other common suit types are:

Deathrain - twin-linked missile pods

Sunforge - twin-linked fusion blasters

Blinding Spear - plasma rifle and burst cannon if I remember properly

Helios - Plasma rifle and fusion blaster

There are more I don't remember right now, but those are the more common variants.
