Default DX-4 Technical Drone

Who here has brought one; and if so, why? FW hasn't made any rules for it, so presumably you can't even use it. I guess it's a model for the non-gaming collector.

It's on my Things to buy list...as well as a few more FW models.

Actually FW did make rules for them. If you read the Dx-4 entry it is pretty much explicite: the DX-4 is meant to represent the 'Combat engineer' strategy as well as medical facility and other items from the Cities of death supplements.

So the DX-4 is useful if you play CoD or to be used as objective marker.

Hope it helps.

Ooh, "is meant to represent the 'Combat engineer' strategy" doesn't sound as credible as 'the Ork Big Mek repairs vehicles'. :-\ So it has no rules that can be played in standard 40K?

???

It sounds far more credible. :

Boneguard's quite right: it is intended to be used as a device aiding CoD.

AI Apoc book mentions the CoD strategem option, but also mentions it could be used to represent a Hard Wired option for a battlesuit.

Maybe 'credible' was the wrong word. I meant that this 'representing stratagies' sounds a bit apathetic compared to the Big Mek and his repair abliliy; though all I've got to go on is what it 'sounds like' as all I know about CoD is that it's a book in my not-so-local GW store that show Fire Warriors always being in assult range of their enemy. :

Are there any stat lines?

As well as in AI update 2006. i forgot about that bit. Thanks

And no there is absolutely no stats line. So they stay there until your drone controller is out of the picture basically.
