I just got absolutely demolished by my brother's SM army in combat patrol. I realize that there have been alot of submissions regarding SMs, but I haven't beaten him once yet. Actually, I have never even gotten remoltely close. Here is my patrol:

-3 Seperate Crisis Suits, all with fireknives
-12 Shas'la
-12 Kroot

Total: 399 Points

My amount of troops is on the constant rise. I currently own 12 Fire warriors, 3 crisis suits, 12 kroot, 1 kroot shaper, 12 gun drones, a devilfish, and a hammerhead tank. However, I realize I cannot use a hammerhead in combat patrol. Also, we play on a 3x4 table (we deploy on the short edges). I found that I was severely outnumbered mid way-through, and never had a chance to shoot with my fire warrir squad. Any help would be great.

small question, how did marines outnumber 27 models in 400pts? :P

let's see... he had 12 in his tactical squad, 12 in another tactical squad, and 5 in his assault team. So I guess that's 3 more... but each one is so hard to kill that it seems like a lot more. His assault team alone cost me 2 crisis suits... and then my other got destroyed by a rocket launcher, and my kroots lost a lot of men when they were assaulting due to their low initiative.

sorry to break it to you dude, but what you just described without upgrades is 470pts, you been had ^-^

i only had 9 in my tactical squads and yes i completely obliterated him

so you take 18 marines and 5 assault marines? no AT at all?

he didn't have to... I wasn't running any tanks

our tanks are the best allowed in CP, thats why were good at it ^-^

I can't use a hammerhead in CP, because the armour ads up to over 33. or do you mean to use a devilfish?
