Default Seeker missiles and fliers

ok, so i recently got a barracuda and seem to like running it with max missiles. but i was possed a question the other day. seeker missiles are guided by marker lights, so if a marker light on the ground lite up a rear armour of (say a rhino) a tank (rear armour 11?) and you chhose to bring off a missile from the barracuda, does it still hit the side armour or would it follow the marker light and hit the rear?

As is always the case, it depends on the direction the Seeker Missile is coming from, not the direction the Markerlight is coming from.

I believe that Khanaris is correct. Straight line from shooter to shootee (shootie?). I seem to recall some debate over this subject, shortly arter the release of the new codex.

no, the marker light designate the target, and the missile goes to the target..

i don't see why it's a poblem since you get to choose the direction in which you make the pass (come from the rear)

In the Apocalypse rules it says fliers always hit the side armour, I don't see why Seeker Missiles would be any different.

Alright, time to jump on this topic and reverse it a bit.

Okay, so I have overheard that fliers are always hit on a 6. Can this be lowered by Markerlights? Or no?

Thanks in advance,
BE

Thanks Khanaris. Quite a bummer on our part. Good thing we got skyrays though, right?

In the old rules, yes. In the new rules, no. All Markerlights do is raise your BS. If hitting the opponent is not based on BS, they don't help.
