Default Titan Killer

I have just bought the IA Taros Campaign and see that the Railgun on the Tiger Shark is listed as a Titan Killer but can not find where it explains what that means!

Can anyone tell me where to find it in the book?

I think it's in IA 1 or 2 , but do a thread search I believe there was a similar question not long ago.

It's in IA 1 page 98, under the special rules for the Shadow Sword. I write what is says but don't know if it's allowed.

Yeah... We can't post the specific rule. However, in Apocolypse games, it is more appropriate to treat it as strength D.

Check the apocolypse board if you don't know what that is.

When I posted I was told it dealt D3 structure points to vehicles and instant killed anything with a thoughness value.

For the rest of you don't be like this, he's payed for the book and its clearly an editorial oversight that the rule isn't listed. Frankly £55 for a book is already too much without having another £30 squeezed out just for the sake of one line of text. IA3 should not have been released without complete rules for everything in it (which it claims to have on the blurb) therefore an ommision like this is nothing short of false advertising by GW, which means the book as it stands is technically not fit for purpose of sale.

My subtle diagram disagrees with you.
your "subtle" diagram contains Optimus Prime and Proffessor Farnsworth, it's heresy in it's own right!
Any similarities between your reality and mine are purely coincidental...

Thanks Kai, I think you are right about it being an oversight that it was not included in the book and I certainly don't intend to buy another book just to get that rule.

Its a bit like the codex where it says a model has a certain trait and then tells you to look it up in the main rule book, it should all be there in one book!

Don't be too hard on the others, there is an almost irrational fear of giving any information on 'GW Games' forums.

Excellent marketing ploy by GW!>

The codex thing does actually make sense though. In third ed they tried it the way you suggested but the problem was different codexs had different wording, which allowed players to have the same rule that did different things between armies. Having the 'universal special rules' in the core book has in practicality gone a lone way to alieviating this problem.

Or they could have worded each codex the same!

Well yes, but doing it that way allows for rules to be changed retrospectively aswell, which leaves the earlier printings with out of date rules. If these benefit the players using them then of course people will argue to the hilt that thats what they can do because their codex says so (3rd Ed space marine bikes are a good example of this, in the second chaos codex is stated that bikers couldnt gain an extra attack for holding two close combat weapons because they needed one hand to steer the bike. The space marine biker entry was released first and didnt have this common sense clarification, making space marines biker better than their chaos counter parts).

Having it all in the core rule book stops this kind of change. What they SHOULD do is have all the army lists included in the main rulebook, even in an abbreviated form. LIKE THEY DID ON EVERY OTHER VERSION OF THE GAME. *ahem*
