Default Seekers: BS issues

might be missing the obvious here, so apologies, but do you fire a seeker at the BS of the vehicle acting as a platform, or do you always take it at its "assumed" BS of 5?

You fire them at BS5, like the codex says.

The vehicle BS has no bearing on the missile.

No problems.

70% of the time, we are here to help.

20% of the time, we will get into a 10 page "debate" on the rule brought up.

10% of the time, we've had a bad day, and dish out sarcasm by the bucketload.

But thats very rare

in the markerlight section of the codex it says shooting is resolved normally, so u would have to roll to hit. i was just unsure of what my BS would be

[hr]

another quick seeker question guys. provided you have the required markerlight counters, can the skyray fire all six missiles at once ( so it uses its two networked markerlights, plus for arguments sake, a squad of pathfinders' markerlight counters) or a max of 2 per turn?

oh, and can markerlight counters be carried forward if not expended in the same turn?

All 6 if you have 6 counters.
And I believe the Markerlights go at the end of your turn... whenever they go, they are not around for your next turn.

Ok I guess I must have misunderstood that. I thought it went with the BS of the shooter who shot the Markerlight. If thats the case then IMO seeker missles are not that good any more. I mean you have to rool to hit...and if you hit then roll again to hit. That to me is lame... Im going to reread that secion when I get home. Thanks for the help!!!

Just think of the markerlight as giving the seeker missle something to aim at. It's BS 5, so unless you roll really badly, it should hit 83% of the time.
