Ok...I'm just starting this game and decided to go with the Tau, before I even read about them other than the bit of fluff in the main rule book.

I'm doing pretty well putting things together, but I'm trying to figure out what all the bits on the kroot sprues are. If someone could post a picture of the sprue and what bits are what (as in that really good starting an army post) I would GREATLY appreciate it.

They are kroot, not kroots ^_^ Just like Internets... ^_^

The top middle of the sprue are the bodies of the kroot.
The right part of the sprue are Kroot rifles. The top left and bottom left are legs of the kroot. underneath the bodies are kroot heads. The rest are bits that are just for decoration in the tau army. They do not count as upgrades.

The part of the sprue where the heads are on also come with four half-moon like things. These can be put on the shoulders of the Kroot to represent the 6+ save; the rest is really only decoration, as Doctor Wu said...

most is easy enough. look at the picture on the box, and look at the bits inside. the torsos, legs, arms with guns, and heads should be kinda... obvious ;D

the rest is decoration.

Nicely done Shas'vre Koyaan Ki'vak, I'd give Karma for that (but I'm not a mod).

Valzin most of those bits are just extra grubbins to decorate your kroot with (items 3,4,5,7,8,9,10,12). They don't actually have rules associated with them. Items 6 and 14 however could be used to represent the armor upgrade that you can get when adding a shaper.

Thank you for all the informative replies...I had pretty much guessed that most of the bits were just flash, but some of it looked like interesting flash (grenades, etc) so I wasn't sure.
