Default Sniper Drones

Ive looked but i cant seem to find anything definitive on Sniper Drone cohesion. Does the spotter have to maintain 2in coherency with the drones? because from a logical point of view its a bit stupid for him to follow the drones around.

Yes it needs cohesion.
The team is one unit that isn't a vehicle squadron. Hence they all need to stay within 2" of each other.
The spotter is in fact the team leader, controlling the drones, so he really must be there...

The spotter has to stay within 2" of the 3 Sniper Drones accompanying him, but each sniper drone team operates independently. Otherwise they follow the normal rules for individual squads...

That does not make any sense to me. The spotter should be remotely controlling the drones, that make much more sense. If the spotter gets KO'ed before any of the drones, then the drones should become immobile or destroyed.

He does! The remote doesn't have much range though...
Anyway I think it's a matter of battlefield awareness. You can't have that without being close to your unit.

Cheers

Makes perfect sense. But It would suck if the controller was sniped. I think that the sniper drones should have a higher BS.
