This is one of the smaller aspects of the Project, but extremely important.

We know that Septs are centers of Tau settled systems, Vior'la for example has 12 worlds attached to it beyond its own central star system. And that the Empire consists of exactly 100 systems (assuming more now with the 3rd sphere).

In white dwarfs, books, and official websites we have listings of smaller worlds. The goal of this project is for members to look for those worlds so we can flesh out the Empire.

So without further discussion:
Vandrea- 3rd Sphere region near Medusa.
Draven III- contested world in 3rd Sphere region near Medusa

Gravalax- border world, abandoned by Tau coalitions in light of Genestealer manipulation

Dolumar IV- border world, closest to 'southern' exit of the Damocles 'gate' and near to the perdus rift. Dead World after Space marine bombardment.

M'lek- border world on Tau side of the Gulf, site of skirmish between Tau and Dark Eldar.

SO- you get the point, look for worlds mentioned in Tau fluff-

Here's a few for you then:

Sy'l'kell: former Tau colony world, "practically eradicated" by the Imperium during the Damocles Crusade. The first world taken by the Tau in the 3rd sphere expansion.

Kleist: The first major Imperial world taken by the Tau. A well-developed, largely self-sufficient world with a population of 7 billion. Home of the Gue'senshi.

Garrus: A moon in the Kleist system. Surrendered immediately after the fall of Kleist.

Phaeb: A planet in the Kleist system. Surrendered immediately after the fall of Kleist.

i made up a few, but i doubt that's waht your looking for i can't think of anything off hand, unless you count Nimbossa? though i can't quite remember if that's still in tau hands or not, then you could add the ones that tau hold at the end of GI campaign (if any) like golgotha etc.

From IA3 and the Tau Empire Codex, we can see that the Tau Empire encompasses just over a hundred settled/colonized worlds, consisting of twenty Septs and a large number of vassal alien homeworlds.

Queh-Quih - Location: Near Perdus Rift, Kroot Territory
Kroot "Sept" World.

Rann - Location: South of Damocles Gate, between Dolumar IV and Dal'yth (2PE)
Frontier/Outpost world with vast orbital shipyards.

Yu'kanesh - Location: Near Dal'yth, Frontier World (3PE)
Site of Ethereal capture just prior to the events on Dolumar IV.

Aeronautica Imperialis

Ik'yabar - Location: Southern Tau Territory, near D'yanoi and Fi'rios (2/3PE)
Arctic world near D'yanoi that came under the assault of a Tyranid splinter fleet during the Third Sphere Expansion. Thanks to heavy presence of Kor air power, the Tyranids were defeated.

Dy'rios III - Location: Northern Tau Territory (3PE)
One of the many planets raided by Commander Shadowsun during the Third Sphere Expansion.

The Traitor's Hand

Salomine System - Location: Near the edge of the Damocles Gulf (between 2PE and 3PE)
A Tau colony world was attacked by Chaos "Ravagers." Encountering unexpected resistence, the Ravagers were delayed long enough for an Imperial Naval contingent to catch up with them and "slaughter the heretics in the name of the Greater Good."

However, it is pointed out that with their defenses weakened and an Imperial navy in orbit, the Tau were in for a nasty surprise.

Type or not, I'd say Vir'la would be a good name for one of the 12-some-odd other planets in the Vior'la system
