Default Tau Auxilaries

I thought about making my own Auxilaries for a laugh.

I know it won't be official but as i said it would be a for a laugh and mpost likely to be made of mates un-used units and my spare weapons.

Orks and tyranids would just not excepted by Tau.

So my question is, have Eldar ever come in contact with Tau. If not I'll leave it for now.

(I understand there is problems with doing this, but it is for a laugh, but at the same time I want to make sure the history/background work)

No official mention of Tau-Eldar encounters exist.

I don't think there would be a problem using the models as long as you stick to the auxillary rules. They certainly would be something different. I was thinking about grots myself....

Eldar too me are the only army Tau would really tollerate in the 40K universe.

They way of thinking and they technolgy I think Tau would see as a beginning.

I would have to agree with you there...I can't see the Tau and Necrons getting along
exotically Tau and the Empire...

Theres a quote in the rulebook that I think implies some limited contact between eldar and tau... I dont think they'd really get along very well but that could just because I really hate Eldar...

Wait, so you're saying eldar would be auxiliaries for the tau...? Eldar are too aloof for that IMO. Eldar believe that all the younger, more naive and less worthy creatures are to be exploited... not to be allied with except under the direst of circumstances.
I could see tau auxiliaries for the eldar, but not really the other way around. Eldar would never serve anyone!

If you would like, you could make a chaos themed tau army and have cultists as auxiliaries or something...

The Tau Empire is a relatively safe haven for all outcasts, including those among the Eldar. I could see Rangers working with Tau Pathfinders. Teaching them to shoot, perhaps?
