Default building tau jetpacks

whenever i get a crisis suit, I seem to run into the problem of one of the pieces of the jetpack being warped slightly so that it is not flush with the conjoining piece... does anyone else have the same problem?

yup! boy was that annoying, i had to flatten the piece in between a couple of books and even then it wasnt perfect :P. Im not sure if this would help, but try cutting out the bits of the sprue more accurately, i mean with a craft knife or clippers so nothing gets bent.

my crisis suit that a bought separately was fine.. but the 3 from my battleforce.. all were warped :s when building them.. used rubber bands etc as suggested in the 'constructing battle suits' thing on the GW site.. and had to hold it together really tightly for 10 mins :S i'm not to sure what you can do to fix it.. i don't think the plastic is that flexible even if its gently heated etc..

Yeah I had that problem too..

But I was patient enough to sit down and press the 2 parts togehter for 5 min with glue so they joined real neat!

I had the exact same problem with my battleforce. I just did my best and glued it on. Its still warped, but I'm no perfectionist.

I think everyone got stuck with that- all 15 of mine where that way. I found supergluing it then spraying zip-kicker on one side- wait a few seconds and then compress the other side and kick that too. add a little more glue along the seem and wait for it to fully dry- then file it flat again (gets rid of the seem too.)

I actually found that when I had the warped piece, I took the GW website advice and when I glued the pack together, I used many, many elastics to press it tightly together! It worked great!
