How wide is the bridge?

Any restrictions on the army?

How many points in the army?

What side of the bridge are you on?

Is there a lot of cover from where the Nids are coming from?.

I think to setup a good defense you would need lot of answers to those questions. Also do you have a idea of what kind of army your Nid adversary will field?

If he goes with shear numbers you will want a good quantity of FW on the far side of the bridge and possibly a DF on it. If he goes with Nidzila then get yourself some Broadsides on the far end. Either way you should try to block there advance with some vehicles (DV or HH) that way you can blast the incoming and if they eventually take it down it should block the way nicely

Are the Tyranids coming from a particular side and trying to cross the bridge, or do they just need to control it like a take and hold scenario?

Are all your units deployed on the bridge or do the Tyranids have to cross the bridge to get to you? Please give the most amount of details available, so that we may help you.

Is there any cover near the bridge? You are better off not standing in the open. I would deploy a small unit of Fire Warriors on either side of the middle part of the bridge, giving both units Photon Grenades and maybe a few carbines. Drone Squadrons would also work for this. Then station a massive unit of Kroot about 8" behind them (or even two units).

The rationale here is that even if one of the units on the bridge breaks, they probably won't both break on a single turn. That will give your Kroot a chance to launch a counter-charge. The problem with this is that they will still beat you on Initiative, so you really need a lot of Kroot.

The other options is to just block the bridge with two rows of skimmers. When and if they crash, move your Fire Warriors into the wreckage to take advantage of the cover they provide.
