How do you mean? Installing it or actually see what it is you're typing?

For installing it on the PC download the file and open it using winzip/winrar or what ever you prefer to use. Extract the file to the desktop or another other location you can get to easily , such as your documents folder.

Once done open up you windows folder on your hard drive (usually C:/windows), make sure you can see all the folders and files if not click the link that says "Show the contents of this Folder" find the folder called "Fonts" and simply copy and past the font file to this folder or drag and drop. Up to you which, that will install the font ready for use in any program that supports truetype fonts.

I'd imagine the principle is the same for the mac version but you'd need a suitable file extractor.

As for using it. type what you want in another font first (times new roman for example) then select the text you want to tau-ify and change it to "tau" as you would any font.

Just so you know some letters and numbers are missing from the font, can't remember which ones off hand though.

EDIT: The letters Q and Z are missing as well as the numbers 8 and 9 in addition to no punctuation or other special characters

It can be downloaded from the GW website here. They're about half way down the page in between the new wallpapers and the old archived ones.

Tau, having 4 fingers per hoof-hand, count using base 8. It's easier for hexidecimal conversion - guess that explains their rapid technological advance!

As for Q and Z - it is an alien tounge! At least that absence is consistant with the codex. I'd recommend using K and S.

Works on my computer. I converted my whole English Essay into Tau and printed it off. I'm considering handing it in.

Interesting that those are the two letters missing from a standrad phone dial?

It's a nice font, but some of the letters are duplicates I think, so you can't actually read it...

No they ain't, at least not in the UK. They're on the 7 and 9 respectively

As for repeats the I and Y as well as the F and V are the same, but that's down to the Tau language since they have the same sounds I believe. But it is readable. If my girlfriend can read the Tau font, anyone can with a bit of thought. She doesn't know anything about the Tau, except they have some real shooty weapons and look cool. Now right in the Tau language AND font and it does get complicated.
