Default Humans in Tau battlesuits

hey guys. i was just wondering if humans could fit in tau battlesuits and fire warrior gear. im thinking this because my imperial guard army fluff makes it a rogue faction. so say they stole tau stuff and now the elite in the spetnian army make up the spetnian elite stormtrooper army. which is the elite branch and my imperial guard make up the main spetnian army.

is this a good a idea. please leave constructive critism

...I'm gonna go ahead and say no, because if I'm correct in my understanding of how the battlesuit works, you have to have a pretty good grasp of Tau technology to use them. You pilot the thing with a needle jammed into your spine, and you can supposedly "feel" the suit. I dunno, but I don't think they could.

But as far as fire warrior gear, those are human auxillaries basically.

well, tau and humans are pretty close in size, I suppose a verry skilled tech priest could manage it.

You would have to be pretty short too, and know what to do, and somehow get a battlesuit that is intact. It would be tough to do, but maybe possible.

And also, Tau firearms are programmed to never fire at other Tau. Which kinda makes the whole purpose of stealing their technology to use against them pointless. ;D

Well maybe if you were trained into it IMO, kind of like a password given out for each suit, given uniquely to every pilot. I don't think it's too far-fetched to let them give the humans *some* Battle suit capability. Certainly not the "here's a battlesuit, enjoy." But "In recognition for your deeds, we promote you to a Gue'vesa'ui. From here you'll have some choice on which missions, and where you wish to specialize for the Greater Good."

But I've not read a lot of the fluff. So I could be way off the mark. And is there anything to say it's shoved way up? I was thinking it was either something more along the lines of the Matrix chairs(Body prone, maybe a stick in the stem of the brain, without the side effect of your body receiving actual damage) mixed with Evangelion(arm off=OWWWWW! and you don't realize it isn't "real").

I would have to say no, because in a novel that I and my friend have read, an imperial guardsmen tried to use a battle suit, and was electrocuted because he wasnt the pilot. it killed him. But if you realy want to stretch it, i guess they disabled that somehow, learned how to read tau, or did trial and error without blowing themselves up, then figured out how to use the Three fingered controls with five fingers, and the hooved feet things ( if any) with human feet, then got the ammo to constantly supply the battle suit when they run out.

In the book Kill Team, a Imperial Scientist tries to operate a suit. He gets inside. The thing closes. It shakes violently. It opens to reaveal a schorched corpse. If Human scientists cannot operate one, Imperial soldiers DEFINATLY can't...

I read some fluff in an old white dwarf about tau selling battlesuits known as hunter rigs to humans in hive cities near to tau space. They were used by gangers to blow each other up. :P
