I don't but then again, I know very little of native american lore. They reminded me more of the book of five things and mecha anime inspirations(except for the part that they can't fight close combat to save their lives)

Well, some of the styling in the Tau army and a lot of the background material comes from a composite of Asian cultures and imagery. I never really saw anything I though that was noticeable Native American in origins, though. The Kroot, of course, are playing off of a lot of the old "noble savage" stereotypes, so I can see some connection there.

Do you perhaps mean south american? Cause then I have more of an idea what your on about, though even then I couldn't tell you if it resembles Incan or Mayan or the Aztec or whatever(though I think ones actually middle america) as I said, I don't know enough about them to be specific.

Yes the Ethereals' fiddly bits do have a vaguely Meso/South American look to them... but I really don't think it goes beyond that.

Are you refering to the Tau history with Fire Casts more primative life style and living on the Plains? Or the similarities between their way of war and their methods of hunting?
