Default non-linked Burst Cannons?

quick question, is this legal:

2 burst cannons, bought sperately
multitracker

could you now roll 6 dice on this baby? or are ALL pairs of guns considered twin-linked?

id like to believe that spending on a multi with nothing else to multi would enable the Bursts to fire independantly.

but if its illegal, lemme know.

No. Page 17 states that if two weapons of the same type are puchased occupy two H/Ps and are twin linked.

I guess think of if as one code is programmed in to activate a firing sequence for, say, a Burst Cannon, so if you have two, it automatically fires both. In other words, it's not a legal option to buy two weapons of the same type and NOT have them be twin linked.

Nice try... ^-^

I know this is probably a dumb question, but what would happen If you bought 3 burst cannons? would 1 pair be twin linked and 1 would be alone??? thnks

Yes. Two would have to be TL and the other would be fired seperately. but, that's a damn expensive suit. C'mon we have Stealths for that.

I can't say I like that particular rule very much. I like the idea of blazing away with burst cannons at enemies on either side.

then it sounds like you want stealth suits (giuded by markerlights :P) instead of burst touting crisis suits. BC's are a waste on crisis suits, they are the only unit that can take MP's, FB's and PR's, so make the most of it!

Thats a dumb rule. Really, you should be able to mount some thing three times so 1 is twin linked and the other is fired separetly. Cmon wouldn't it be fun to put three plasma rifles on a crisis suit and blast the heck out of those cheesy space marines!!!hehe
