what in your opinion is the best configuration for piranahs in a small army?

Depends what you intent on using it against, what the rest of your army looks like and what you consider a "small" army.

Heres my list
Crisis commander
2 crisis suits
10 firewarriors 2 drones mounted on devilfish
12 firewarriors 2 drones
2 broadside battle suits
2 pirannahs

so you're aiming for around 1 K?

It would depend on your suit loadout, if your suits are infantry management only, then i'd recommend fusion with Targ. Array. If they've got msl pods, then i may recommend burst cannons is okay...

personally i'd take the fusion b/c you don't look like you have much of a mobile tank hunting/ low AP power. (suits moving 12" a turn + msl pods < hammerhead)

I give all mine fusion and targetting array. Considering how fast you can move, they make back double their points if they kill any tank.

Ya I'd say give em FB's and Targetting arrays and just go suicide tank hunting, especially those big beasts like basilisks

Combat patrol 400 points
Troops
6X Fire Warriors, Carbines = 60 points

Fast Attack
2x Piranha, Burst Cannon, TA = 130
2XPiranha, Fusion, TA = 140
Piranha, Fusion, TA = 70

Total = 400 points

This list is difficult to deal with for 80% of the competitive lists out there.

Anything assaulty gets pwned, and that accounts for 50% of the armies out there. Other lists find that their high strength weapons get overwhelmed by all those skimmers.

Only lists that hurt this are either necrons or have lots of starcannons(or equiv)
