I don't see why not. They wouldn't be one Cadre, but they could easily be a small part of a multi-sept coalition army.

It could be a last-minute regrouped army from a large war or something, where a bunch of regiments were destroyed and so they have to combine to have any chance of survival...

The Greater Good calls for all Tau to ally with eachother to fight anything that might hurt the Empire. So two different colour schemes would be represented by two or more septs joining sides to fight an enemy. Like stated by Khanaris, they'd have to be different Cadres of course, as each has but one uniform, but they could easily pass as armies that felt no fraction could fight an enemy without the aid of the others, and win. You make up why. That's the real fluff part.

im thinking about making it a scouting force, which would explain the guys in air caste armor, because they are giving a ride to a bork'an stirke force. they got jumped by, well whoever im fighting, and toda, and army with two colors!

You could also go with the idea that one force represents units decked out in camo scheme armor, while the other force is wearing ceremonial sept colors, like an Honor Guard force, etc.

I can see the logic and the plausibility is fine, i like the idea of the ceremonial honour guard with the camo force getting jumped en route to some fancy dress party or something!

Cheers, spacmarine2000
