Default Official Response

I've been given word that among several GW individuals the Compilation started here has come under review. I was told they appreciate such enthusiasm amongst Warhammer players, ect. ect., and they are willing to look at what we've got.

Now, more importantly they know what website the article we made came from- which means that they are probably going to be reading on this site (much like they do with Warseer) but much like our brother website they will remain silent and observe.

I'm told that because of the holiday season it will be difficult for a response- however I consider our work a success.

Woohoo! Good work Calmsword, and everybody else who contributed.

BTW: Wasn't part of the plan to shunt everything over to House Rules now that the submission's in?

I'll consider it a success when we see the end results... and, of course, GW giving us no credit.

There's no need to be so pessimistic. The fact that GW is looking at the thing at all is a result in my view.

I agree, its achievement enough to get them to look at it.

Yes, they may take all the credit, but to be honest, if I wrote some background stuff, and GW used it to advance the timeline or make the game better, then as far as I am concerned, they can steal it every time.

If it improves my game, I don't mind not getting credit.

recognition comes in various guises. da green kroosade of the EoT fame was a group of gamers who worked together who got the whole damned thing named after 'em...

the infamous story of the flesh tearers tearing through the guard lines after killing their enemies also came about from an actual game.

None can step before them, they are the first, proud in their strength and jealous of their renown. Through the storms of the warp they come, upon the very tides of terror, but of such dangers they are uncaring. They are the Space Wolves, the Undefeated, the bane of the Emperor's foes."

Heaven forbid I show pessimism over a company who shows, with every passing year, a greater disdain for its fanbase, a greater incompitence at making desicions, and a greater lack of talent within its staff.

thats exactly why its our time to try and take it back as competition rises and that fanbase wanders off. GW will never completly disapear and might one day be bought by another party- hopefully fan oriented- but until that time i'm willing to try and work with them. If i don't its a complete disregard for the past decade i've invested.

I agree. I've spent 6 years in December watching this stuff go downhill, the fact they're even listening is a huge thing.
