Default Do gun drones get stealth fields?

If I attach gun drones to stealth suits do they get the stealth field ability or does it ruin it for the whole squad? I think that it would otherwise you wouldn't have the option of drone controllers on stealth suits.

And what does a drone controller look like? Thanks.

They drones get the stealth ability once they are attached to the stealths, in addtion of getting to infiltrate along with the squad.

a drone controller and the multitracker is one and the same.

As crisis_vyper stated, any kinds of drones do get all of those benefits as well as being able to deep strike along with the Stealth Suits.

To pinpoint out the exact source for supporting his statement, please take a look on page. 27 in the Tau codex in Stealth field generator section. Right on the last sentence of that section, it states clearly that any drones would benefit from this special rule. (Plus it costs nothing more for the drones! )

Sort of. Back in the first tau codex they were, however now the drone controller (as stupid as this sounds) is actually available. You just have to buy the new 3 man stealth suit team as that is the only one available.

Having said that I wouldn't fault someone for using either the multitracker or the target lock to represent it. Also, I always hardwire mine whenever I take them. Something about not having to represent a hard wired peice of equipment just seems like that extra little slap to my opponents face .

That drone controller is actually a smaller version of the big multitracker one. And besides, it is just too small for a crisis suit. :P

So on the xv25 sprue the drone controller is the dome thing? Hmm, gotta find a way to not make that look akward on my fire warrior.

You don't have to model on anything Hard-Wired... just a reminder ;D

Anyway anything with an antenna can pass for a Drone Controller. Just look at Shadowsun, she's got an antenna on her shoulder that can only be her drone controller.
