Default Buying Tau

What's up? O0 O0 O0
I will probably buy some Tau soon.

This is what i get:

Commander
40-44 Fire Warriors
6 Crisis suits
6 Stealth suits (Two Drones)
3 Broadside suits
1 Hammerhead
20-30 drones
and some other bits and c**p

Most if it is painted (which is good for me as I suck at it and don't find it funny).
He wants 1300 Swedish Crones, which is 99,79 GBP (Great Britain Pounds) or 190 US Dollar.

Is this price OK?

Then another question. What if the Hammerhead have a weapon glued to it that i don't want to use. Is it, "What u see is what u have". Same with Crisis. This means i can't experiment.

So what eqp should a Hammerhead have. What's the most optimal, against most armies?
And if the commander is a Shas'el/o what is the best eqp, Fireknife or something else?
Thanks in advance

fire knife is best in most occasions but TL plasmas against marines and MP, BC and mt against hordes, if you dont know who you will be playing take fireknife though. Ask for all the weapons options for the crisis suits, also ask about what weapons (carbines or rifles) the fire warriors have, same with the hammerhead, railgun and burst cannon are great against anyhting IMO, he should be able to give you all of the weapons options....

you are buying a lot of dornes..theyre pretty useless but without doing the adding up i think thats very good value, however dont you want to make this army your own and paint and model it how you want? consider that before you buy or if it makes no difference and your just into warhammer form the gaming aspect then ignore this sentence.

well, can u take of the weapons on the hh, or are they perment?
As i understand, some of Crisis choices havent' anything to do with looks, like hard-wired support systems?
Well thanks. It not so easy for a beginner.
and about the painting. I can live that i haven't painted them. I think its fun that i can start play the moment i buy them.

Weapons on the hammerhead can be taken off if you make them that way by using pins or magnets...

Hard wired support systems are optional and no are not represented on the models...

Yes its a good price, the 3 broadsides alone are worth $105.00 US. So you are definately getting it cheeper than the models can be bought for. Okay I just added it up- to buy everything there new would cost you $435.00 US from GW direct. A little less from certain internet companies but it is definately a good deal.

the Fireknife is the most optimal weapons for an unknown enemy and even then most enemies, and you have it down pat yes.

as wolfe said that is an exeptional deal.

and the best general HH config IMO is

Railgun+Burstcannons+Multitracker+Decoy Launchers.
165points. good bargein.

What does the following mean on weapons (the type of weapon):
Assault (1-?)
Heavy (1-?)

I know Rapid Fire means that u can shot twice when you are within 12".

why not use an ion cannon instead of burst cannon? same amount of shots, but better range, much better.
