Default Commander Battlesuit

A friend of mine asked me this question today. He said that in the last game he played the Tau player used a Shas'O Crisis suit with the following configuration.


Twin-Linked Missle Pods
Plasma Gun

Hard-Wired Multi-Tracker

The question here, is this legal? I don't have the Tau codex so I can't look it up. Thanks for the help.

I disagree... he only has 3 hard wired points to fill!

If you mean otherwise I need a page number...I ask of you to look under hard point options: page 22

He has filled all three Hard Points:

1 for the Plasma Rifle.

2 for the TL Missile Launcher.

The Multi-tracker is a Hard-Wired upgrade from the Armoury, so takes up no Hard Points.

100% legal.

Forsooth Sir Wargamer is correct, Hard Points(HP) and Hard Wired(HW) are different things.

HP is battlesuit weapons and external systems HW is systems hard wired into the battlesuit.

should you be right wargamer then ALL crisis battle suits will be able to have 3 weapons and unlimited amount of support stuff as there is no seperate limit for support systems other then īthe number of support systems as you can only have one of each... as that isn't already broken enough for alarms to start you will also see the support systems under hardpoints options...

I hope i don't sound flammy i really don't mean to but I would juust like to see your proof of why you think it is so...

Thank you, I was assuming it was legal, but I couldn't remmember if hard-wired equipment had anything to do with the battlesuit itself.

lol, it is hardly "broken" as you have to pay innordinat amounts for them which just ratchets up the cost. and I dont see how any of the support systems stack so its not an advantage.

still you get loads of upgrades and two drones and 4+ invulnerable without giving up any weapons... too much IMHP at least...

at how many points? moreoften than not you can do something broken with armylists, it just isnt feasible though because of the exessive cost and add to that only team leaders can take items from the armoury.
